A great day filled with lots to do. Our speakers for the day are:
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
10:00 am – 3:00 pm – Our new exhibit, with items from the Margaret Mitchell Estate will be on display all day in the museum along with Vicky Rogers wonderful GWTW collection. Take time and visit the Grand Bazaar and see all the wonderful GWTW items for sale, maybe take home a gift or two. Also the museum gift shop will be open all day, with lots of great GWTW souvenir items.
10:15 am – 11:00 am – Guided Garden Tour
11:15 am – 11:45 pm – Joseph Green - Joseph will unveil two new GWTW costumes for the museum.
11:45 pm – 1:15 pm - Lunch and the photo booth will be open (you will be able to get your photos the following day free from Flikr).
1:15 pm – 2:00 pm – Megan Tatum Miller - Megan will talk about Pegee of Williamsburg, Patterns from Historie, and lead the Windies in a waltz. Fun!
2:15 pm – 3:00pm – Julie and Rick Clarke - both Civil War re-enactors will be here to sign their book Pauline D’Alvigny Campbell, Civil War Nurse. They will also talk about how Rick’s ancestor Dr. Noel D’Alvigny who was the role model for Dr. Meade in GWTW. Then step inside the museum and see Dr. Meade’s original costume from the movie. “This is war, not a garden party!”
